Busy day at Station 1
Sat. Feb 6th 2010

Around 07:45 hours on the morning on Feburary 6 the tones dropped for a REPORTED TRAILER FIRE at 25 ROCK HILL PLACE, as Engine 11 pulled out of the station they found they was pushing heavy snow with the front of the engine, once arrived on scene Chief 1 advised nothing was showing and checked the residence to find a malfunctioning furance and placed the remaing box in service, Engine 11's crew cleared the roof of the trailer off to prevent collapse and then returned in service, as the engine was returning to the station, the tones dropped for the 2nd call of the day for POWER LINES DOWN at 53 LEE CIRCLE, engine 11 responsed with a crew of 5, while enroute the tones dropped for a commerical fire alarm at 1776 VALLEY ROAD(BESTERN WESTERN HOTEL) smoke detector sounding on the 2nd floor, and engine 11 diverted to the CFA and a 2nd engine out of station 1 handled the power lines down. Engine 11 arrived on scene with nothing evident from the exterior of the building, sent a crew of two in and checked finding nothing. Returned in service.

The fourth call was dispatched around 1000 hrs on Harrison Avenue for a electrical hazard, Suburban 1 responsed with 2 and found power lines arching, advised Morgan dispatch to start Alleghany power and returned in service.

The fifth call was dispatched around 1400 for a CFA at 150 INDEPENDENCE STREET(HUNTERS HARDWARE). Engine 11 responsed with a crew of 6 and arrived on scene with the bulgalar alarm sounding, the crew of engine 11 checked the exterior of the builiding finding nothing and returned in service, the final call of the day was for WINTER STORM MITAGTION at 93 WHISNER AVENUE, suburban 1 arrived finding trees down, advised home owner that the only thing they could do was advise her to leave her house, returned in service, so in all Company 1 ran 6 calls on the feb 6,2010.
